Good morning fellow renegades.

My team and I have been hard at work (except for our Shihtzu, Sofie, she’s mostly been barking in her sleep) on the Job Escape Kit. I can honestly say this is the best product we’ve ever created and I can’t wait to release it to the world next Tuesday!

We’ve been releasing a series of videos over the past few weeks. We also just launched a fun new mini-site that can tell you your future (kind of).

In less than six days we’ll be opening the doors to the shiny new program, but for now, there’s nothing to buy. So put away your Paypal. :)

My heart has been overjoyed by the amount of outpouring of support, comments and love we’ve received in the creation of this product. I can’t believe we’re finally getting ready to officially release this to the world.

Oh and just in case you haven’t seen the videos yet and have been vacationing in Fiji or something, here’s the raw, brutally honest and kind of embarrassing case study I release a few days ago about how I quit my job and started working for myself:

So, what exactly IS the Job Escape Kit?

I’m glad you asked.

  1. A 22,000+ word book and series of case studies to help you build a business on the side you love, that replaces your job’s income, and regains your freedom.
  2. A 365 day series of daily missions hand delivered to your door (well, your inbox, same thing right?). Each day for an entire year you get one mission sent to you to complete that moves you a step closer to freedom and sovereignty. All the guesswork and hemming and hawing omitted.

Every piece of training is based on things myself and other successful entrepreneurs have tested and proven. No fluff, just dangerously focused strategy and actionable missions.

How to win a free pass to the Job Escape Kit

We’ll be reviewing all of the entries and making a decision within a few days.

The deadline for entry is Sunday, January 27th at 12pm EST.

Here’s how to enter:

  1. Step 1: Leave a comment below on this post.
  2. Step 2: In your comment tell us: Why you think the Job Escape Kit is the perfect fit to help you reclaim your freedom and start working on your own terms..
  3. Optional: record a video and upload to Youtube (bonus points).

We’ll choose the most compelling two responses and will announce the winners next Monday.

Also, please be as short and sweet as possible. It’ll make it easier on us to judge the entries.

If you like, you can also vote for someone else’s entry by leaving a comment on their entry.

Okay, that’s it! Leave a comment below to enter!

I’m looking forward to reading all of the responses. This should be really fun. :)

Update: And the Winners Are…

Thank you for all of your amazing and incredible entries. Because we had so many incredible ones, we decided to choose SIX winners instead of just two. Here they are:

Thank you everyone! If you won, we’ll be contacting within the next few days on how you can access the Job Escape Kit. :)

I’d really love the opportunity to win this. My entire life, I’ve felt destined to do something bigger than what Im currently doing. Don’t get me wrong, Im one of the lucky ones, I have a job and its creative and I get to work with amazing people. However, Ive always wanted to create a business that brings people back together and get out of the creative industry. I have loads of ideas but no know how and a bucket load of fear. But Im ready for it. Help me out … I’ll throw a special thank you your way when they do my TIMES article ;) Best shout out ever!

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 5:11 pm

Thanks Nikita, I like your entry.

Tim January 24, 2013 at 2:53 am

It’s all in the title – Escape the Job, just put the kit together. I have put so much in to keeping so many others rich and ‘Escaped’, I think it’s high time I started building my own tunnel outta here! The J.E.K. will be perfect, because if it doesn’t work (which from joining Trail Blazers I can see it will!) I can fashion it in to a shovel and start digging!

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 5:11 pm

Great stuff Tim.

Willa V January 24, 2013 at 3:13 am

My purpose: Help others discover and live their best lives.
My 6 word autobiography (and daily living goal): Exchanged security for an authentic life.

My 6 word autobiography drives me to live differently than our pre-packaged world “allows” and my purpose is often at odds with the forces that employ. I’m driven to exist outside the cubby walls, to meet people where their guard is down and their realness can be teased to the fore. There’s a sort of hunger to experience life, not get through it day by day, but feeding that hunger, creating that freedom, requires a plan, a piece of knowledge, a… something… that I haven’t been able to lay my hands on. Have you found that something? Show me what you’ve got and let’s change lives.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 5:12 pm

I like it Willa.

Benjamen Warren January 24, 2013 at 3:14 am

Greetings Jonathan,

As the above states, my name is Benjamen Warren, and I would LOVE a copy of your Job Escape Kit! Even if I might have to pay for it!

For many years, I have suffered through the corporate life, giving 110% of myself and NEVER fully feeling satisfied or appreciated. I worked as a customer service rep, assistant store manager, a store manager and more. Constantly searching for that one special job that would make my heart center sing, that would bring me joy and that I would LOVE and look forward to everyday.

Since 2007 I have been attempting to work for myself, never fully trusting my heart, but listening to the naysayers, or the ego, that tell me that I cannot make it. I wouldn’t survive, or make ends meet. And I believed them… I allowed the beliefs of this conditioned world dictate my life.

Today, I am ready! I am ready to follow my heart and live life on my own terms. I am a nationally certified massage therapist who is ready to work myself. I am currently employed, again, by someone who doesn’t appreciate my work as well as leaving me feeling taken advantage of. An employer who believes they can dictate my life. I am in the process of launching my home based business (until I can manifest a store front), and I feel with all my heart that with your help, and the help of the Job Escape Kit, my dreams will become a reality!

Not for brownie points, maybe a little, but I have watch your videos and am reading your book currently; and I feel with all my heart that you have perfected the path to creating your own life, on your terms. I believe this, not because you have published a book, or have a bunch of followers, but because you have LIVED IT!

So whether I could win a copy or buy a copy, I feel that what you have to offer could make all the diffidence in me succeeding on my own. Not because I need someones hand to hold, but because I’m not clear on the action steps to get there.

So thank you for your time, and I look forward to your Job Escape Kit! However I may acquire it.

j. January 25, 2013 at 4:36 pm

I hate those darn naysayers!! :(
I’m glad to hear how enthusiastic you are. I just entered myself but I feel as though I will be buying a copy as well, if I don’t win!

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 5:13 pm

Beautiful stuff Benjamen.

Laura Haworth January 24, 2013 at 3:34 am

Hi Jonathan,

I have been sick for a year now and am intending to come back at the world with a bang. I have found your enthusiastic approach to taking control over your life unbelievably inspiring so far and am hoping to continue the journey. After a nightmare of a year I need someone to provide me with that confidence to get my corner on lock down, so here it is, not my own video but probably better:

All the best,

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 5:14 pm

Thank you Laura, very inspiring.

Tiffany January 24, 2013 at 3:51 am

Hi Jonathan! I know this kit would work for me because I already understand the importance of following dreams. My husband knew long before I did that he wanted to live his life on his own terms so we decided that since he is going to be an actor we will have to move to Los Angeles in June. I’m excited but more than anything I am determined! I am the only source of income right now since he stays home with our baby so I have to find a way to support my family doing something that I love. I think this kit could help me do just that – I refuse to go back to the corporate way of life!!

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 5:22 pm

This is awesome.

Milan January 24, 2013 at 4:18 am

Hi guys,

for starters – thumbs up for everything you’ve been doing! I love it!

I’m wondering if the Job Escape Kit could help me get rid of the 9-to-5 job that I’m stuck in because of the huge mortgage and get started with something that I’ve just recently found and came to love – permaculture approach to life and especially self-sufficiency (in food at least, and also in energy at best). Can this be done so that one still makes ends meet? With a partner and two kids to support? Can your product help me with this (even though I am from a faraway small country – Czech Republic – and our contexts are probably quite different)?

Well, these questions have been dancing in my mind for some time now. Still not quite sure what the answers are.

Yours, sincerely

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 6:25 pm

Yes, absolutely Milan. The Job Escape Kit will definitely apply to your situation.

Oskar January 24, 2013 at 4:22 am

I left my job over a year ago, I’ve tried a number of different things based on what I have read about working for myself and still have not made much progress. I could do with some real, honest no-nonsense advise so I don’t keep making the same mistakes. Thanks!

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 6:27 pm

Good stuff Oskar.

Jerry LeDoux January 24, 2013 at 4:27 am

I have been wanting to leave a job that I don’t enjoy for a long time. I’ve always had a goal of spending my time working at something that I really love, that I have a passion for. This sounds like exactly the push that I need

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 6:28 pm

Thanks for your comment Jerry.

Filipe January 24, 2013 at 4:53 am

Hello folks!

The Job Escape Kit fits me perfectly because, as a very practical person, I’ve been having a lot of resistance when it comes down to setting up an online business. The main reason for this is the excessive information but lack of a direction / guidance and the kit provides exactly that. With it, I’ll be able to breakthrough my inner barrier and soon achieve independence, and in the near future, I’ll be able to give back to the location independent entrepreneurs community that I’ve came to like so much.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 6:29 pm

Great entry Filipe. I dig it.

Jim Krenz January 24, 2013 at 5:02 am

I believe that the Job Escape Kit is the perfect fit for me, because the daily missions are what I need to maintain focus and remain motivated. Getting a mission every day will keep the Job Escape Kit’s training fresh and fun!

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 6:30 pm

Thanks Jim.

Jim Krenz January 27, 2013 at 7:47 pm

Hi Jonathan—thanks for the comment. It is good to see you responding to everyone’s posts. It shows me that you care! Nice!

David Scott January 24, 2013 at 5:17 am

I’ve been searching for the “way out” of this corporate jungle that makes us all so miserable.
Just yesterday I made the decision to turn down an offer to start a business that almost guarantees to double my income in 12mo, then double it again in 3 years. It just wasn’t the right fit, it didn’t align with my personal passions enough for me to be able to commit the 200% needed to make it work.

I have the want to, but I need help with the “how to”

j. January 25, 2013 at 4:39 pm

I was in a similar situation as you recently, David, but I took the other path. Regretting, but am not stopping my work on my real dreams.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 6:32 pm

Good for you Scott. It feels powerful to make those kind of decisions to defend your freedom.

Daniel Soliz C. January 24, 2013 at 5:23 am

(submitting again,,,didn´t notice that step 2, has to be within step 1)

sO HAPpy..,to see how much the people with ILLUMINATED MINDS (especially Jonathan) have evolved, and made the site evolve of course, helping people to get PAID TO EXIST ! You guys are kicking more, better, and bigger ASSES everytime! cheers!!

sooo, the JOb escape kit would help me in many ways. Mainly getting things done, getting to action! For me and most of us trailblazers is easy to have the vision, the dream, the what if…. , the big picture, but the problem comes with the HOW TO, the steps to the vision, the necessary actions to get closer to your dream.

People get unmotivated and abandon their dreams because of that. Getting lost in a sea of ideas, thinking a lot, procrastination, and not getting things done. So having a map with especific actions to do is something of HUGE HELP. and keeps you focused, motivated, and you know that you are getting somewhere!

The job escape kit, would also help understand that reaching a Dream is not something that comes overnight, it is a process! the steps are just like the steps of a ladder. PATIENCE! and FOCUS!

****and now for real!! **** looking forward to have the chance to escape from what people call “reality” with the JOB ESCAPE KIT and build my reality!! I f**k off now!! SAYONARA!! :))

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 6:34 pm

Thanks Daniel.

Simon Pollard January 24, 2013 at 5:36 am

I believe it’s perfect for me as I need some quality help to really nail the steps to take on a daily basis in order to make a massive difference in the world. Your knowledge and experience is invaluable and would be a massive help to me.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 6:34 pm

Thanks Simon.

Muhammad Fawaz January 24, 2013 at 5:47 am

I’m actually really happy with where I am now thanks to the Limit Erasing Technique and Passion Profit Workbook. All from you! But I know if im ever stuck I’ll have this place to turn to. Good luck with the launch and good luck to those who are competing for the free copies of the kit!

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 6:35 pm

That’s awesome to hear Muhammad. Thanks for sharing that.

Dan Garner January 24, 2013 at 5:59 am

I’d love a copy of the Job Escape Kit so that I can focus soley on providing ideas for meaningful living on Youtube video at Zen Presence Intro..

Dan @

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 6:36 pm

Hey Dan, thanks! This isn’t a video entry for the contest though, it’s a video for your website.

Matt January 24, 2013 at 6:07 am

I have a masters in Chemistry that I don’t use because it’s not what I love. I’m in a dead end job with no improvement for the last three years. I found what I love to do after I wasted years getting a degree. Now I need to know how to replace my current income with what I want to do, help regular guys that train in combat sports to improve their cardio and strength to stay healthy and compete longer.

j. January 25, 2013 at 4:41 pm

I hear you on the wasted degree, Matt.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 6:37 pm

Great stuff Matt.

Mark January 24, 2013 at 6:15 am

I need to create an income that would replace my wife’s so she would be able to raise our infant and 2yr old. I love being able to stay at home with my kids, but I feel like a complete failure not being able to provide for my family.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 6:38 pm

Thanks for sharing and opening up like that. Respect.

Rachel January 24, 2013 at 6:27 am

The Job Escape Kit is the BEST resource that I am aware of that can help you build your blog and successfully quit your job to live the life that is more aligned with who You are. So few people are able to break out of the 9-5 habit and live a fulfilling life. What’s great about Jonathan and his products, is that he is enabling you to do just that. You can trust him.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 6:38 pm

Thanks for the endorsement Rachel. :)

Joan January 24, 2013 at 6:30 am

I believe this is just the kick in the pants, the guidance, the motivation I need to make 2013 the year I can make it happen for me and my family.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 6:39 pm

tal.p January 24, 2013 at 6:32 am

Hi Johnathon

First off, aside from any happiness or unhappiness in my job, I knothat there are so many people out there who need more people like us to help them, and how important it is for us to get to work, living our dreams and getting those out of the pit who need it most. Its 2013 so there’s no time to delay. People need creativity, hope and ( more enjoyable ) forms of expression and hard work. Every person I can help will help possibly hundreds if not more. That’s my dedicated rationale that is all.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 6:40 pm

Thanks for sharing Tal.

Amy Morris Shalosky January 24, 2013 at 6:32 am

I’ve spent years struggling to identify “my thing.” Through your blog–and a lot of hard thinking–I’ve finally identified my starting point this past weekend. Naturally, it had been sitting right in front of me, staring me in the face the whole time! My goal: to combine my passions of writing, art, and helping people with the simplest of tools, the blank book!

I have given myself a year to launch my business and build my products to an income level of roughly $2k/month so I can QUIT MY JOB! The Job Escape Kit could not come at a more perfect time than right now, when I’m tweaking my idea and building the basis of my business.

In short: PICK ME, PICK ME!

j. January 25, 2013 at 4:44 pm

I heard that picking a time frame is the best thing to do! Good for you!! I hope it happens for you in a year or less :D

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 6:42 pm

I like your enthusiasm Amy!

Jorge January 24, 2013 at 6:38 am

I would say the job escape kit is perfect for everyone suffering from a endless job of doom, but still you dont know my boss, i have been in my job more than 5 years and suposedly is a carrer that im passion it about, unfourtounetly people that get a little sicken with so little power (my boss) can make you think twice about your passion. Thats why i need the job escape kit, so i can quit my job, take my passion to a 100% fullfilling level applying the job escape kit methods and missions.

Jorge –

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 6:44 pm

Thank you for your entry Jorge.

Jennifer January 24, 2013 at 6:43 am

The Job Escape Kit is the perfect fit for me because the missions will help me keep focused and the case studies will provide inspiration when my confidence is lagging. I am more than willing to do the work if I can get some scaffolding/direction.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 6:47 pm

Good stuff Jennifer.

Charley January 24, 2013 at 6:48 am

I have always been a driven individual. Early in high school I determined that I wanted to be an engineer for a living. I was always intrigued with designing and building things. A four year degree later I set out to begin my life doing what I had worked so hard to achieve. 3 years and two jobs later I have finally come to the conclusion that I am miserable and hate what I am doing, it depresses me that my engineering job is 90% project management and social skills and on a good day 10% engineering. I am excited about the job escape kit and working towards making a living doing something I love and getting away from the harsh reality that I spend 50 hours a week to earn money to enjoy myself on the weekends. I can’t wait to start!

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 6:51 pm

I really like your enthusiasm. Thanks Charley!

AppleTree January 24, 2013 at 6:53 am

The Job Escape Kit is perfect for me and long overdue, as well. I am in a job that doesn’t feed my soul. Actually, it is quite the opposite: I am in a job that leaves me drained on a number of levels. I’ve tried to escape repeatedly, but fear has always held me back. I have some much more to give than this job offers, I am just afraid to leave the ease and security of this job, especially now that I have a son.

That said, it is time. Each year I choose a word to base my year upon. Last year was gentle and I learned to me more gentle with myself and with others. This year the word chose me: BRILLIANT. It is a word that others have used to describe me, but until now I have never been ready to hear it. I am ready now, or at least I hope I am, and it is time for me to jump out of comfort and into possibility.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 6:56 pm

Thanks for your entry.

Dave January 24, 2013 at 7:06 am

I’ve got the entrepreneurial itch but feel stuck in a boring lawyer job. I know I can make it on my own, but some guidance would make all the difference.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 6:56 pm

Thanks Dave.

Aaron January 24, 2013 at 7:14 am

In 49 days I’ll be free of the law school debt I accumulated 10 years ago, and finally free to choose a career not based on those loans hanging over my head. I have a countdown app on my phone that I check daily that tells me when I’m quitting my job – 329 days as of right now. I need to figure out how I am going to replace that income by the end of this year and I’m determined to do it.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 6:57 pm

Awesome. I like your commitment. Aaron.

Christopher Cooke January 24, 2013 at 7:19 am

My life goal is to be a Physician Researcher who specializes in Preventative Care through Nutrition and Exercise, owning my own practice that is Holistic in nature to tend to the Mind/Body/Spirit/Heart needs of my community through my practice as a physician, nutritionist, minister and shaman/light-worker, incorporating others with skills in mental and emotional therapy, and physical therapy, and benefitting mankind by studying the effects of holistic techniques applied over a course of decades on a small test population that is my community and clientele.

Currently, I am a Master Reiki practitioner, shamanic practitioner and I am doing independent study in nutrition and dietetics. In order to move towards my goal, I need to return to school to fill out the science portion of my training. In February, I am beginning EMT-Basic classes, which is a step in the right direction, but I will eventually need to make a decision between working full-time and going to school/studying full-time. I am looking for a method to bridge the gap; something that will allow me to complete my studies while earning a living doing something I love to do at my own schedule.

I am already a published author and working on another book. I have been working in the IT industry for fourteen years, the majority of which I have spent as a User Interface Engineer. As mentioned, I am already a spiritual healer.

I have a mission. I have the drive. All I am lacking is the coaching to transition.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:06 pm

I love your depth of vision Chris. Thank you for your entry.

Panos Sarangelis (Liam) January 24, 2013 at 7:37 am

Because I don’t have a job to escape from. Which is the exact thing I need to escape from needing. I find perfection in that irony.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:06 pm

Well said Panos.

Michael T.Maeder January 24, 2013 at 7:37 am

One sentence, four words: I was sacked yesterday.

JA January 25, 2013 at 8:26 pm

I vote for this guy.

JT January 24, 2013 at 7:51 am

I love free stuff. But what I love more than to get free stuff is to transform my life into one that is not only fulfilling for me but, in turn, will be fulfilling for the people I interact with on a daily basis, especially my wife and kids; they think I’m a mean old curmudgeon, which I bet I am. I hate my job…or I hate me because I’m too scared to quit my job, or maybe both. But to gradually move to that point with a strategy and a new level of confidence will be pretty exciting! Free or not, I’d buy the book to begin my new journey.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:25 pm

Thanks for your entry JT!

Julie Titus January 24, 2013 at 8:02 am

I am in great need of reclaiming my freedom. In the past year I have become unemployed, cared for my father on his death bed, and now I am pregnant. My life-long dream is to write on my own terms and be able to support myself doing so. It has become difficult to imagine this coming true with all the challenges of money, grief, and motherhood ahead of me. I think the Job Escape Kit would be an excellent resource for me to move forward and create the best life possible for myself and my family.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:29 pm

Wow, that is a lot to go through in the past year. I hope something better comes out for you on the other side.

Ania January 24, 2013 at 8:15 am

The Job Ecape Kit will help me formulate a plan to get my own thing going, I’m sick of settling for ‘jobs’ that aren’t exactly what I want to do. I want to make a real difference in the world and help us turn things around environmentally and spiritually. I’m also an artist/writer. This will help me formulate a plan that will integrate all of my strengths and values.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:29 pm

Thanks Ania.

Pearce Kilgour January 24, 2013 at 8:20 am

Driving a desk for almost 10 years has taken it’s toll on my body and spirit. I’m currently on day 14 of a 30 day Hot Yoga challenge, and I’m finding that (1) doing things for myself is more rewarding than working for other peoples money, (2) change is hard but worth it, (3) the future isn’t going to wait for antiquated work styles.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:30 pm

Good for you Pearce!

Fern January 24, 2013 at 8:38 am

I value freedom highly. But even more than freedom, I value meaning. I know I want to bring a fresh sense of play, delight and contagious joy to the world. Can I do this in my current job? In the sense that I can spread joy in little ways in my day-to-day existence, certainly. But to contagiously spread play, joy, and delight while making a living? I don’t know where to even start! Or perhaps, I should say, I don’t yet know where to start… I aim to be contagious joy the way you are all contagious kick-in-the-butt inspiration. Will you help me?

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:30 pm

I love your entry, thank you Fern.

Marco January 24, 2013 at 8:38 am

What I like most about the Job Escape Kit is the 365 day series of daily missions. I won’t have to decide or “search” what I have to do each day. No more “I don’t know what to do” or “where should I start?” or “I should do some research on the net “. It’s like a blueprint where each step is clear and precise. Just have to take action.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:31 pm

I like the way you put that Marco.

D.Fun January 24, 2013 at 8:43 am

Similar books and websites encourage me to quit my job and “follow my passion” while regurgitating chirpy mantras from self-styled spiritual gurus and lifestyle coaches. Inspiring as those are, they don’t provide the tools that translate to real-world scenarios (or they assume I’ve got $250,000 in the bank) . Because Jonathan Mead has already proven himself in previous communiques to be focused but smart, committed but cautious, and encouraging but not flaky (and because he seems to grasp what it REALLY takes to run one’s own business), I trust that he is going to lay out solid, real-world steps for me to achieve my dream. I feel like a froggy who sees paradise just across the riverbank. All I need is three freaking lily pads to get there. This kit is my lily pads!

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:33 pm

The kit does come with plenty of lily pads.

Roxanne Jones January 24, 2013 at 9:04 am

Hello Kind, Robust Creators,
Step into my world for a moment– I am a chocolate single mother with 3 soon to be adult children, that happens to be a special needs teacher who works daily with inner city public school students that are extremely creative, but academically challenged. Since we are now living in an American world where we need to have “data” to teach reading and writing now, where is the voice for the students that have creative energies locked up inside of them?
I want to be their voice, I don’t have the time, energy , brain power, or money because it’s tied up in writing the latest “data” about a student, or helping my own biological children continue on exploring their voice. I beleve that the Job Escape Kit is a wonderful fit for me because I don’t have to think about what I need to do next because your product will hold my hand and get me out of my job so I can help all students nurture their own voice that is buried deep inside of them…

Take care my wonderful people and thank you for hearing your “voice” and running with it

Roxanne Jones

Thanks for your entry Roxanne.

Marcela January 24, 2013 at 9:07 am

I need a copy of the Job Escape Kit because I feel like I’m wasting one day of life every morning when I leave to work. This is too sad to accept and I know that I can feel like I’m wining everyday, accomplishing things that I was born to do it and actually living with joy and plenitude (excuse my bad english, Im brazilian)

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:34 pm

Thanks for your entry Marcela.

Louis January 24, 2013 at 9:29 am

The Job Escape Kit is a great idea. As soon as I heard of it I realized I need this kind of help. I have made a career of jobs that mean nothing to me instead of a paycheck. The constant questioning of myself is a part of my life I’m ready to end. Unfortunately, I feel like the woman in the old ad that says, “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up.” Here I am in a bad situation but I need help to get out of it. I look forward to using this kit to get back up on my own two feet and fend for myself again.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:34 pm

Thanks Louis. I believe you can do it.

Jaclyn January 24, 2013 at 9:49 am

This seems like a good fit because it’s based in reality, and created by someone who has gone through the process before. It’s neither a “hey, let’s jump off this cliff!” approach nor a “let’s just talk about stuff without actually doing anything” system. It seems like the right blend of strategy and tactics, mindset and hustling.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:35 pm

Glad that you’re feeling it! Thanks for your entry Jaclyn.

Ricky Donato January 24, 2013 at 10:00 am

I recently launched my full-time career as a motivational hypnotherapist. The Job Escape Kit is exactly what I need right now to grow my business to where I want it to be, and beyond. You have already done what I am doing right now, and the Job Escape Kit allows me to learn from you and spread my work to everyone who needs it.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:35 pm

Great stuff Ricky.

Ker January 24, 2013 at 11:28 am

I would love to get this kit and follow through. I definitely need an escape. Your prediction site said I would move to Mexico. Totally! You have some rad psychic powers working on that site! lol

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:36 pm

Haha, we try!

Rachel Graziano January 24, 2013 at 11:50 am

I believe this time to shine and with your help I will be able to succeed. I am ready for the change change in becoming free from the corporate prison! Please help me break free!

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:36 pm

Thanks for your entry Rachel.

Hannah January 24, 2013 at 11:54 am

Thanks for sharing the nitty gritty details of your first year in business. Right at the start of my own full-time venture, it can seem like a long stretch from here to there so it’s refreshing to know that the initial struggles and fears I’m experiencing are somewhat ‘normal’.

I’ve escaped my job so I’m not commenting to win the kit, I just wanted to say that it’s reassuring to hear about the reality of your experience and thanks for being so open!

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:37 pm

You’re welcome Hannah. Glad you enjoyed it!

Mitch January 24, 2013 at 12:23 pm

At the beginning of 2013 I put a sign above my desk ‘1000 Day Plan’ to escape my job. In this time I have started a network marketing business, and a basic blog. More is to follow. The Job Escape Kit may provide the structure and the means for staying focused.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:37 pm

Thanks for your entry Mitch!

Because I am already on my way! I have started laying down a small but worthy foundation to invest my time in my freedom and true heart’s desires. I have attended many of your webinars, always read your posts, but have never had the funds to purchase one of your amazing programs.
I recently responded to the offer any amount for your products and received one of yours books because of my passion and honesty. We even have an affiliate link on our site to your program, The first one was yours! That’s how much I believe in it! I am consistently telling others of your program.
I am now well on my way with my partner to setting up financial freedom. I want to be traveling the world while making money, providing something of VALUE, That can SHIFT and CHANGE our world into a new way of thinking that holds no bounds or limitations. I do not want to trade my time and life for money, but invest my time in a project that unfolds. So that is what I am doing but I need GUIDANCE, assistance and a eye that knows how to manifest and create a success out of our current mess. We have MANY ideas, a creativity book, but I feel with your help and guidance, we would truly make this dream a reality. Every single day we get on a three hour call in the wee am to work on the project. I then go to work all day and come home and we get on the call again. We are dedicated and know what we want. We have our niche, our theme and the idea of what we want to portray and output into the world, We just need someone who has the background and skills to give us a lift. Our vision is clear.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:38 pm

Thanks for your entry!

Amy Gibos January 24, 2013 at 1:12 pm

So i started writing and then it turned into a novel so here is my video! I hope its not too long..

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:41 pm

This is wonderful. Thank you Amy!

Jennifer January 24, 2013 at 3:30 pm

I just recently began taking the trip on a road of self-discovery. After years of feeling like there has to be something more, I’m finally at a place I’m ready to go after it and find something more! The Job Escape Kit is the exact tool that could help me get there. I am a mother of two, have been (happily) married for 18 years but I refuse to stay on the same track (for the sake of my kids!) There is so much more to life than how we (my hubby and I were) raised, so I have to find the way to help my kids meet their full potential in life. I’m not saying that life hasn’t been good, but I just know in my heart it can be so much better! I want to teach my kids that they can live “differently” and that they can live their lives with passion as the main focus instead of paychecks.

I would be thrilled to win the Job Escape Kit and the personal coaching sessions!

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:42 pm

Awesome! Thanks Jennifer!

Jennifer January 24, 2013 at 3:32 pm

Oh and PS ~ I don’t have a youtube account (nor do I know how to do videos via youtube!) So without the help of my kids, I’ll have to hope I don’t need the extra credit points!! ;)

Will Clary January 24, 2013 at 5:23 pm

I currently work a lucrative, chill, 9:00 to 6:00 in Beijing, China. This is a dream come true… Except how shackled I am to a time and a place everyday. I am young, energetic and have focused my life on travel and movement, yet now I am stuck. I’m not looking for big bucks or mega influence. I just want to have a secure income that will allow me to drive my ChangJiang
(–qVOb5vMtyl2knLaNbSmwPsCUU7mL) all over this beautiful country and continue the love affair with adventure I started when I first left the US.
I have simple wants but big dreams and I need a road map to help me navigate the next cycle of my life.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:43 pm

Thanks for your entry Will.

Jackie Paulson January 24, 2013 at 6:14 pm

“A 22,000+ word book and series of case studies to help you build a business on the side you love, that replaces your job’s income, and regains your freedom.
A 365 day series of daily missions hand delivered to your door (well, your inbox, same thing right?). Each day for an entire year you get one mission sent to you to complete that moves you a step closer to freedom and sovereignty. All the guesswork and hemming and hawing omitted.”
I am working a 9.00 hour job 2nd shift, and I cannot give my 18 year old daughter anything! My paychecks are the lowest ever. They keep promising me a raise it’s been over one year and no raise. I want to make money doing what I love on my own terms. I look forward to your emails and followed you for over 12 months as your fan. Bless you as you bless other (Jackie USA)

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:43 pm

Thanks Jackie!

Sue Ann January 24, 2013 at 6:25 pm

I quit my job without a plan.. talk about doing things backwards! Here I thought I’d be busy making money at my dream job when mostly I just spin my wheels. Create a blog, they say.. build an audience, listen to a webinar, read every bloggedy blog blog from everyone who ever started a business and succeeded. Even though I know what I want to do, I’m overwhelmed. The small (but dangerous) focus of the daily missions intrigues me.. and says there’s hope in sorting it all out. Thanks for what you do, Jonathan!

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:44 pm

I like it!

rox January 24, 2013 at 7:14 pm

I’m really happy I discovered your website and I would love to try the Job Escape Kit. The daily emails would hold a person accountable and the case studies would help with inspiration.
Why I would like to win this product is because I have been in my current position at a large global corporations since early 2008. When I realized that I didn’t fit in or like what I was doing the economy had gone south and I felt trapped.
Working in a position that I can’t tolerate with a micromanaging boss has sent me to the E.R. twice. Both times the diagnosis was STRESS. I would have gone again last night but the best medical insurance I can get at work has made going to the doctor unaffordable. So I came home with what felt like really bad heartburn and went to sleep. When I woke up the heartburn was gone so I believe it was stress again.
I know I am here for a better purpose and I want to inspire others, especially my children.
I have been looking products and books. The Job Escape Kit seems to be the complete deal I am looking for. Thank you! :)

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:44 pm

Beautiful, thank you Rox.

Tom January 24, 2013 at 10:55 pm

I’ve read every self help book and read all the internet-articles I can find on the topic, without finding the one that I’m looking for. I’ve been living on auto-pilot all my life, only to wake up one day finding myself in a job I hate, dragging my feet and looking at det minutes slowly tick by, until I can finally leave for the day. This is not how I wanna live my life, living only for the weekends, but beeing too exhausted when the weekend comes to do anything but recover sligthly from the damage done to my entire system during the workweek. I’d like to, for the first time in my 33 years, to wake up energized and passionate, doing work that I love, on my own terms. I think this kit is the one I’ve been looking for all my life.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:50 pm

Thanks for your entry Tom.

Michael January 25, 2013 at 4:57 am

I have been trying to get my side business turned into a full time business for 4 years. It becomes increasingly difficult to find the energy after working full time at a job that sucks the life out of you. I have been working for the same company for 7 years. The owner is a disrespectful, unprofessional, egotistical man who spends more time hover over his employees than building his business. Since he’s not out actively selling, he often has trouble saving enough money to actually pay all of his bills and still pay himself. This is obviously our fault, so we get yelled at, often he curses (how unprofessional is that?) and tells us that if only we worked faster and harder he would be able to pay himself. I sit at work everyday physically fatigued from trying to stay the better man and do a good job without having a freak out moment. If I still need to tell you why I’d like to win … I would love a chance to prove to myself, my wife and my family that it is possible to survive and thrive on my own, running a successful business with a steady stream of clients. Also, I just want to be a better business owner than my utterly horrid employer. Can you help?

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:50 pm

Wow, sounds like a total a-hole. Thanks for your entry Michael!

Harit Rathi January 25, 2013 at 8:11 am

I want a kit because I’ve got the right age to think of something like this and I think I have enough capability of doing so. Im in my first year undergrad and have already started working with a lot of marketing companies and a few places where I design stuff. It doesn’t feel appealing to me and instead I think I should capitalize on my ideas and grow as it would help me and many others.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:51 pm

Great stuff Harit.

ThatGuyKC January 25, 2013 at 1:26 pm

Since I started blogging seriously 2 years ago and finishing an MBA the summer of 2011 I’ve been feverishly absorbing as much information on writing, leadership, communication and creativity as possible. I’d love to work for myself and pursue independent financial freedom.

My goal is to leave a legacy of hard work, financial strength and chasing dreams for our 3 kids.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:51 pm

I like your enthusiasm!

nubia January 25, 2013 at 1:44 pm

Hello! I’d like a free pass to the Job Escape Kit because I need help and the people closest to me are naysayers and dream crushers and can’t or won’t provide the help I need. I’ve been challenged and criticized. Never encouraged or even approached with curiosity or a desire to understand my perspective. I’ve had ideas. I’ve shared ideas. I’ve had my ideas shot down then advised to pursue a more traditional employment path. I keep everything to myself now. The thought of sharing ideas with anyone again unsettles me. There’s even a small part of me that doesn’t want access to the Job Escape Kit because I have a hard time believing genuine support actually exists. But since discovering Paid to Exist I’m pretty convinced that’s not true. I have a new project that only exists in my head and a short text document on my computer. I believe it’s something that deserves to be explored, something I can’t ignore. I have a general outline of a plan but I need help filling in the details and making it into something real instead of just a theory.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:52 pm

Thank you Nubia, this is awesome.

j. January 25, 2013 at 4:34 pm

Re-gain my freedom? What about finding it for the first time?

I run a blog right now (staying anonymous for a reason) and in doing so, have found my true passion (graphic and web design, freelancing, etc). I dread going to my full time job and even though I’ve been doing well, my days are still my dark hours, with my at-home time being the time for me to shine and feel connected to my “work”.

In order for me to move my dream forward and be paid to exist, essentially, I would need to never sleep. I need to be able to prove to my spouse that I can swing my end of the income by doing what I love to do, but in order to do that, I need not to be working full time.

It’s clear from the amount of responses you have on this post that this isn’t a unique situation and that many people are unhappy with their current situation of working for the man.

I need a concrete plan in place to move my brand and my product forward and upward while I’m still working in order for it to be the most realistic and “adult” decision it can be. Hence why the escape kit not only appeals to me, but seems essential to my success. I hate sounding like a victim whenever I talk about my passions to others. The Job Escape Kit would allow me to empower myself and give me the tools to not only dig my way out, but also to build the plane to fly.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:53 pm

Thank you for your entry!

Batya Yaniger January 26, 2013 at 8:47 am

The Job Escape Kit looks like the perfect fit for me because I can clearly see that you know what you’re doing, and you know how to tailor a plan to a person’s needs. I’ve been fiddling around hiring people who are telling me what to do with social media, but as you’ve said, I’m spinning my wheels because I haven’t defined my audience. Secondly, I have absolutely no time available for social media, and no money to pay someone for outsourcing. But you know how to empower people to use what they have to get to their dreams.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:53 pm

Thank you Batya.

Tanya McGill Freeman January 26, 2013 at 2:31 pm

You asked that this be short & sweet so here goes: I have been in a what has turned out to be a dead-end job since 1998. Yes, at the same place but not in the same position). My heart aches every day when I know I must put another 11 hours of my day into something that doesn’t drive my passion & light my fire. However, I found what REALLY does back in July (literally ON my 40th birthday) and I’ve been working every waking moment I’m not at my day-gig towards this new business that I’ve created. It’s my child, my baby, my soul. And it’s going to absolutely amaze people. I could REALLY use The Job Escape Kit to help take this to the level of greatness I want it to achieve.

Thank you immensely for this opportunity, Jonathan & team. Grateful!

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:55 pm

Thank you Tanya, I love your energy!

Katherine Bowers January 26, 2013 at 2:58 pm

Hi Jonathan,
I would like to be considered for the Job Escape Kit because honestly, there is no going back for me. I simply can’t and won’t go to a job that locks me into the old routine. After 30 years of work for so many bosses, I simply can’t go back to that. Like others, I experienced the job loss with the economy cuts and I have many responsibilities. I’ve been trying to make affiliate on-line dollars, but my plan just hasn’t been working, so I need better guidance. I’ve got a couple years of hours and I need a breakthrough. I hope you will give me honest consideration. I need the guidance and assistance.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:55 pm

Thanks Katherine.

Alia Arlys Alford January 26, 2013 at 5:21 pm

People with dreams and information are dangerous.

I have already harvested the nectar of my dreams.

I’m ready to be dangerous. :-)

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:55 pm

Boom. I love this Alia.

Jamil Rahim January 26, 2013 at 6:24 pm

Hello Mr. Mead and Team,

My name is Jamil, I’m 19 years old, and I live on Vancouver Island.

I’ve worked many jobs in the labour industry, and I despised them all. Due to some recent confusion and unhappiness in life, I spent some time navigating the World Wide Web in search of something. At first, I had no clue what I was searching for… But after a few relentless weeks of browsing, I came across your site.

“This is it!” I said to myself, “this is what will set me free.”

Your work and knowledge has inspired me to pinpoint my passions (health, fitness, and philosophy) and envision a brighter future. My dream is to travel the world, meet amazing people, and to work on my own terms from wherever I please. Unfortunately, I’ve come to a stop at a road block.

I don’t know how to move forward, what steps to take next, or where exactly I’m headed. This is why the Job Escape Kit would be perfect for me. I need to leave the time demanding confinements of my job and focus on helping others. Plus, getting a coaching session would really kick start my journey.

Thanks, Jamil

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:56 pm

Awesome. Thanks Jamil.

Deirdra January 27, 2013 at 7:00 am

My boyfriend and I met work. A few years ago, he followed a dream we both shared and moved to central America. I was supposed to go shortly after but because I’d just gotten promoted we agreed I should stay and get some experience at the higher level. The next year I was ready to come but I got pregnant and we agreed it was better for me to stay and give birth in the states. The next year I was ready to finally join him — he had gotten our business off the ground and my target date was feb 2012 — but what do you know, he died suddenly and unexpectedly in dec 2011 and our plans were shattered. Paralyzed by grief, I stayed in my job another year because hey, at least it offered health insurance and money to care for my child alone. I am finally strong enough to make a move to freelancing so that I can be location independent and spend time with various friends and family in various states and countries and have more flexibility to be with my son. I know it’s doable — I have skills, education, experience — but for some reason I seem to have lost all my courage . While I appreciate that my job has given me a paycheck and a safe place to park while I heal, it is imperative that I move on from the job and the place that is so stale and so sad for me, and move into a fresh healthy phase for my child and I.I feel like I’ll die if I defer my dreams any longer. I just haven’t been able to identify the exact steps to take. My hopes are with your kit.

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:57 pm

That is an incredible story. Thank you for sharing Deirdra. I admire your courage.

Chase Ault January 27, 2013 at 7:15 am

Dear Jonathan,
I have worked with people for 30 years helping them do their dream, product, business, movie,
novel or song. Having coming through a long three year “dark side of the soul” life adjustment.
I find I cannot sing my song, I can feel the direction I should be taking but unable to write the notes.
I wanted to work with you before, two months of pneumonia forced a pause, and here we are today.
Thank you for kindness and for your consideration of my scholarship request.

Warm wishes, Chase

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:57 pm

Great stuff, thank you Chase.

Kacie January 27, 2013 at 8:02 am

Oh, snap, where do I start.

I’m a mid 20-ish single Mama (Ugh-I hate to play that card, but it’s part of my story), and let’s just say the last couple years went not exactly as expected. No, not at all.
Some days, I feel like I fight barrier after barrier of what’s expected of me, and what I SHOULD be doing as someone in my situation (that’s what people like to tell me… “in my situation”. Situation? Puh-lease. More like motivation). Be a nurse. Become a teacher. Be something expected and secure. (What I hear: Be boring. Be bored.)

After my little person was born in 2011, I officially made my decision to give the middle finger to the man. Errr…more of a metaphoric man, as I wasn’t even employed at the time. What’s happened since then? In between lame play dates (where I like to chat about the 120 square foot wee house I’m building myself for the two of us, or the conversion van I want to live out of in the summer with my one year old. Ya know, just to shake things up) and wiping boogies, I plan. I have notebooks upon notebooks of ideas and biz ventures. Like, a shit ton of them. I even occasionally have post-its stuck around my bathroom. Sup’ determination.

I’ve got that freedom high, but it’s dwindling to a buzz. With a few ideas I want to launch this year , I feel like I’m so ready to GO, but am skipping around looking for the starting line. I’m not looking for someone to hold my hand, but I need a light, a guide, if you will. [Enter The Job Escape Kit, stage left].

A lot of folks are searching for “a way out”, but I’m trying to dig my way in. I’m not just trying to avoid a 9-5 job , I’m trying to escape the expected-ness that lurks behind it. I wasn’t born for normal (much to the chagrin of my parents), I was born to lead, explore, and share. The Job Escape Kit seems to be exactly what I didn’t even know what I was looking for, because when you are in the thick of expected vs. wanted, do you really even know what “it” is you need?

( Due to some serious child-induced-sleep-deprivation, I’m always a little funny, and parentheses make me feel heard. I write like I talk, so let’s just say I could write your ear off-clearly. And I’m not nearly as crass as my occasionally sailor-esque chatter makes me sound.)

Jonathan January 27, 2013 at 7:59 pm

Thank you Kacie!

Guylaine January 27, 2013 at 4:16 pm

Virally looking for a way to win back my freedom from a traditional job, I finally found how to do it after four years of searching. The idea is planted, the method and experience will come but the next few steps are yet to be defined. So, any help, ideas, motivation or innovation is crazily and happily welcomed.

Keep on dreaming and reaching for the stars !

Joshua January 28, 2013 at 2:22 pm

I am tired of feeling like I am being less than I should be, like I was made for more. I am tired of feeling torn between the family I love but rarely see, the job I’m not even sure that I like or that I’m very good at which provides for them, and the feeling that I should be taking time from one or both and figuring out what I can be truly amazing at. I am tired of feeling limited by the things I’m not built to be great at, all of which seem to be the things in highest demand at my day job. I am tired of feeling like I have to figure it all out on my own, through misstep after misstep, only ever seeming to learn what *doesn’t* work for me. I am tired of feeling like a coward, a fool, and a screw-up for doing what my wife, my peers, and conventional wisdom tell me is the “right” thing to do–sticking with a safe, unfulfilling 9-to-whenever-you-can-get-out job, keeping my head down, and hoping that working to exhaustion will be enough to safeguard my family’s financial well-being.
